Cretex Specialty Products Marks 25 Years
Cretex Specialty Products, an innovator and leading manufacturer of internaland external manhole chimney seals, is celebrating 25 years of proven productperformance at stopping wet weather inflow and infiltration in sanitary sewermanholes.
The first five Cretex Internal Manhole Chimney Seals were installed insanitary sewer manholes in the suburbs of Milwaukee, Wis., in February 1981.Recent inspections and third-party materials testing conducted on some of theoldest seals have concluded that the high-quality rubber seal and stainlesssteel bands that make up the Cretex Chimney Seal are in excellent condition andshow little, if any signs of deterioration. Based on these observations andindependent test results, it is reasonable to expect 30 or more years of servicefrom this easy-to-install, reusable, mechanical seal, Cretex officials say.
Over the past 25 years, Cretex Specialty Products has supported and beenactive in many industry organizations such as NASSCO, WEF, APWA, NASTT, ASCE andmany others on the state and local level.
