HAMMERHEAD TRENCHLESS

HammerHead Trenchless will introduce the new XPR Series line of high-performance pneumatic hammers for pipe ramming and pipe bursting applications at the 2018 No-Dig Show. The XPR series features a newly designed high-flow valve system that produces a more powerful impact. Like HammerHead’s patented Air Reverse (AR) valve system, the XPR technology allows the reverse function to be controlled above ground. This greatly simplifies the task of removing the hammer from pushing collets and burst heads, and saves time. The first model of the series, the 26XPR, is a 26-in. hammer and the most powerful pneumatic hammer in its class. It can install 24- to 84-in. casing and is suitable for use in drainage culverts, pipeline work, and HDD assist methods such as wash-over casing installations, pipe assist or pipe extraction, and guided pilot bore ramming. It is also effective in pneumatic pipe bursting applications of 15- to 36-in. diameter pipes. Booth #409

HERRENKNECHT

Herrenknecht develops new Jet Pump Technology for long-distance pipe jacking and HDD crossings in highly permeable soils. Originally developed and successfully tested for HDD crossings in highly permeable soils, the innovative Jet Pump system has been implemented into Slurry Microtunnelling technology to make long-distance drives of more than 1,000 m and diameters smaller than 30 in. possible. The Jet Pump technology has first been tested by Herrenknecht in conjunction with the development of the Fullface Hole Opener to extend the application range of HDD in highly permeable soils, lowering the frac-out risk and the need for costly mud engineering. As a next step, the Jet Pump technology has been transferred into the slurry microtunneling product range for diameters smaller than 30 in., where centrifugal pumps cannot be used due to their physical size. With a specifically designed power pack and Jet Pump in the machine, the AVNS (ID 250–700 mm) is now equipped to accomplish more than 1,000 m, with pipe diameters smaller than 30 in. (depending on geological conditions. Booth #147

HOBAS PIPE USA

Hobas Pipe USA has been manufacturing centrifugally cast, fiberglass-reinforced, polymer mortar (CCFRPM) pipe at its Houston plant since 1987. CCFRPM is inherently corrosion resistant and last 100 years or more. After more than a quarter-century of reliable service, most U.S. municipalities have used Hobas pipe in new construction and rehab in critical installations. Contractors prefer its leak-free, push-together joints that reduce installation time and costs. Main Hobas benefits are superior hydraulics, lightweight, high strength and long, maintenance-free service life. Applications include storm and sanitary sewers, potable water, force mains, outfalls, industrial effluents and other corrosive environments. Hobas is ideal for a variety of installation methods including nearly every trenchless application: sliplining, jacking, microtunneling, two-pass tunnel and casing carrier plus open cut and above ground. Hobas offers pipes ranging from 18 to 126 in. in diameter and is ISO 9001 and 14001 certified. Booth #463
