Wilson Excavating Adds Trenchless Technology Division
For nearly 75 years, Wilson Excavating and Utility Construction has been a trusted name in Pennsylvania and Ohio. They deliver expertise in excavating, pipeline, and utility contracting.
Founded in 1951 by Wendell Donald “Don” Wilson, the company grew from a small, family-run operation digging basements and ponds. It became a major regional contractor with more than 300 employees, 650 pieces of equipment, and a proven track record in gas, sewer, and water line projects.
Now part of The Lindy Group family of companies, Wilson Excavating is extending its tradition of innovation and customer service. This is evident with the formal launch of its Trenchless Technology Division.
Recognizing the demand for less disruptive and more cost-effective solutions, Wilson has invested in a comprehensive trenchless fleet and advanced rehabilitation capabilities. The company began this expansion in 2021 with the addition of its first CCTV truck and combination jet/vacuum truck.
Since then, Wilson has continued to scale. Most recently, they partnered with Premier Pipe USA to become certified installers of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) using advanced ultraviolet rehabilitation. The company is also a certified applicator of Quadex for manhole rehabilitation solutions. Both Premier Pipe USA and Quadex are part of the Vortex Companies.
Wilson’s Trenchless Fleet
- Nine hydro excavation trucks (including five jet/combo units)
 - Four CCTV inspection crews
 - A dedicated ultraviolet CIPP lining crew
 - A full manhole rehabilitation crew

With these resources, Wilson is now positioned as a regional leader in trenchless pipe installation. They specialize in CIPP rehabilitation and manhole restoration, continuing their mission to provide clients with safer, faster, and more cost-efficient infrastructure solutions.
“When we talk about Wilson, we’re talking about more than just a company. We’re talking about a family of companies,” says Jonathan Wilson, general manager of Wilson Excavating. “[They] have established themselves as leaders in excavating, pipeline, utility contracting, and now trenchless rehabilitation across Pennsylvania and Ohio. From the services we provide to the safety standards we uphold, we’ve built a reputation for excellence in everything we do,”
