NASTT No-Dig Show 2026 Preview

North America’s Premier Trenchless Conference Set for Palm Springs

After great success in 2018, the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT) No-Dig Show is back in Palm Springs, California.

The 2026 iteration of No-Dig Show takes place March 29 to April 2. As always, it will provide a packed exhibit hall and stellar technical sessions. Additionally, there will be some new twists on old favorites. All events share the goal of promoting growth and innovation in the North American trenchless sector.

“More than a trade show, the NASTT No-Dig Show is where technical education meets real-world application,” says Jessie Clevenger, NASTT’s interim executive director. “It is where innovation is introduced, case studies are shared, and practical solutions are explored. It is where meaningful partnerships are formed that directly impact infrastructure projects across North America. Each year, the show creates a working environment for collaboration, problem-solving, and long-term industry advancement.”

What to Expect

In addition to having plenty of sun and the beautiful landscapes of the Coachella Valley; the show’s planning committee is looking to provide an elevated and energized experience, Clevenger notes.
“We are launching the week with a brand-new General Session and Awards Ceremony, open to all attendees,” says Clevenger. “This all-attendee breakfast brings the entire trenchless community together for inspiration and celebration.”

The opening ceremony provides an opportunity for Trenchless Technology magazine to formally award its 2025 Projects of the Year and 2026 Person of the Year awards.

The Project of the Year for Rehabilitation is The North Outfall Sewer (NOS) Unit 10 rehabilitation project in Los Angeles. And the Project of the Year for New Installation is the Champlain Hudson Power Express: Terrestrial Project Trenchless Crossings.

Recipient of the 2026 Trenchless Technology Person of the Year is Jason Lueke, Ph.D., P.Eng. He is the National Discipline Leader for trenchless technology at Associated Engineering.

Keynote speaker is Bill Hanway, executive vice president and global sports and social infrastructure leader with AECOM. Trained as an architect, his work focuses on large scale regeneration projects and major sports events master planning. In addition, he works in sports venue design. He currently leads the design team for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games Plan.

The opening ceremony is open to all attendees, but registration is required.

“We have also reimagined our networking events, including Tuesday night’s Trenchless Classic. This signature celebration will honor all award recipients, present the Chair Award, and induct our newest Hall of Fame member,” says Clevenger. “With live music, entertainment, and an open bar, it is designed as a true celebration of the innovation and leadership that define trenchless technology.”

Upon receiving word of his induction, Potvin said, “I have a great deal of respect for those in the Hall of Fame, and it’s quite an honor to be included among that group. I’m honored and excited. This is not something I ever expected. I’m truly stunned.”

Education and Exhibits

The NASTT No-Dig Show is known for its peer-reviewed technical sessions and expansive exhibit hall. Palm Springs is no different.

“With an almost completely sold-out exhibit floor, the NASTT No-Dig Show is creating an environment where meaningful connections can happen, and real business can move forward. Just as important, the strength of our onsite education remains at the heart of the event,” says Clevenger.

She continues, “The technical program is the foundation of the NASTT No-Dig Show, delivering high-quality, peer-reviewed content that addresses real-world challenges and emerging innovations in trenchless technology. Attendees will gain practical insights, proven case studies, and forward-looking strategies they can immediately apply in the field.”

Networking Opportunities

Beyond the General Session and Opening Ceremony and the Trenchless Classic, NASTT has other networking opportunities.

March 29 marks the return of the NASTT Golf Tournament. Taking place at the Cimmaron Golf Course, the 120-player scramble supports the NASTT Education Fund. The fund fuels scholarships, student programming, education and complimentary No-Dig Show attendance to Student Chapter members of NASTT.

Also on March 29, there is the pre-show Party in the Palms. It takes place from 5-7 p.m. on the Renaissance East Pool Deck. Notably, this ticketed event sets the tone for the week. It features two hours of open bar, networking and connections with NASTT’s Regional Chapters.

Join NASTT No-Dig Show Planning Committee Chair Maureen Carlin, Ph.D., for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Exhibit Hall Opening at noon on March 30.

As technical sessions conclude on March 30, be sure to head over to the exhibit hall. That’s where the Underground Mixer – Networking Event takes place. From 5:30-6:30 p.m. attendees will be able to build relationships with trenchless peers and explore exhibitor booths. In addition, you can enjoy a drink (or two). Importantly, this event is open to everyone with an exhibit hall pass and includes two drink tickets.

“At its core, the goal [of the NASTT No-Dig Show] is simple. Bring the industry together, deliver exceptional education, celebrate excellence, and continue advancing trenchless technology across North America,” says Clevenger.

Mike Kezdi is managing editor of Trenchless Technology.
