Aries Launches Mobile Pathfinder Pipeline Inspection System

The new Mobile Pathfinder Inspection System, from Aries Industries, Inc., is an integrated system with components operated by a controller that can be hand-held or desktop mounted. The compact system combines a lightweight reel, with 1,000 feet of cable, and the Aries’ Pathfinder Series transporter.

 

The user-friendly controller features an 8.40-in. LED screen. The all-in-one unit, with a 20-ft cable, operates the reel, tractor, camera and LED light array. It includes a rechargeable, wireless keyboard and an integrated overlay for video titling and fault annotation.

The system operates with either steerable tractor. Pathfinder Model TR3310 provides increased power and pulling distance. A compact profile ensures great maneuverability in pipes from 6- to 36-in. and larger. The Pathfinder XL operates in 8-inch and larger pipe.

A strong, lightweight reel, made of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, gives the system its portability. A 1000 feet of low-friction, multi-conductor cable facilitates long inspections. The reel includes an emergency stop and manual crank in the event of power failure.

A maintenance-free pan & tilt camera, with its field-replaceable wipers, allow more time in the pipe for high productivity. A 300-degree viewing angle and ultra light-sensitivity ensures fast, accurate pipe assessments.
