Advanced Drainage Systems Acquires Hancor

With the expiration of all applicable waiting periodsunder the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. completed thepreviously announced acquisition of Findlay, Ohio-based Hancor Inc. on July29.

“This announcement is about the confluence of two strongcompanies that will now become one great company,” said Joe Chlapaty, ADSpresident and CEO. “The result will be a vigorous competitor in the supply ofstorm water management systems that will allow us to provide comprehensiveproduct and service solutions for design engineers, public works officials andunderground utility contractors.”

The new organization will now have 43 domestic andinternational manufacturing facilities producing pipe and fittings in 2- to60-in. diameters, along with other engineered surface and sub-surface drainagestructures.

The two companies are developing integration plans thatbuild on the cultural similarities and the best business and product developmentpractices from each company. Chlapaty stated that “Successful integration of thetwo companies will be critical in our success going forward. Our philosophy isone dedicated to build and acquire the necessary technologies to provide thebest products and services to our customers worldwide. Now that the acquisitionis complete, we can hit the ground running with the finest talent and expertisein the storm water management industry.”
