ACQUISITIONS: Kleinfelder Purchases S E A Consultants
Kleinfelder, a California science and engineering firm, has bought S E A Consultants, a Massachusetts architectural, planning, environmental and engineering firm, according to the Hartford Courant. S E A has about 20 employees in Rocky Hill.
The CEO of S E A Consultants, Anthony Zuena, will be in charge of the transition, with S E A Consultants becoming part of Kleinfelder’s eastern regional division and then will stay on as a leader in water and wastewater business, the Hartford Courant said.
S E A, founded 53 years ago, works in energy, military, local, state and federal government and higher education. There are no plans to reduce staff, but spokeswoman Jennifer Oredson told the Hartford Courant, as in all mergers, “Kleinfelder will prioritize how best to serve their clients moving forward.” Kleinfelder declined to disclose how much it paid for S E A, which was acquired in a stock deal.
